Yeah, maybe if they're really interested in educating us they should recommend some reading material (published sources) on the Norman revolution.

Please consider that a challenge, WTRF...

I have a rather strong suspicion they got their idea of a Norman "revolution" from Michael Wood. But I could be wrong. Would the WRTF like to tell us all more?

WRTF:

Well, he's known as Thomas Becket nowadays. "Thomas of London" would probably not mean much to anybody who was looking for Thomas Becket in order to get more information about him. And if he was known as "Thomas of London" during his lifetime, why, oh why do you keep yapping on about his being a Norman, and why, oh why is that so important to you?

why do you keep yapping on about his being a Norman, and why, oh why is that so important to you?

Because Becket was a Norman and many people are totally unaware of that [sign in to see URL] film perpetuates the lie that he was a Saxon and many other [sign in to see URL] truth can be found in Frank Barlow's definitive [sign in to see URL] our Forum's perspective, the roles in history of Lanfranc and Thurstan are also significant in his formation as an opponent of Henry [sign in to see URL] you read our postings carefully these views would be self-evident.

Why do you keep harping on about the film - people here are more interested in facts not fiction.

why do you keep yapping on about William the bastard being a legitimate 'king', and why, oh why is that so important to you?

Because the bastard was a greedy Norman and many people are totally unimpressed of that [sign in to see URL] boring film 'Conqueror' perpetuates the lie that he was, and many other [sign in to see URL] truth can be found in Frank Barlow's definitive biography which states that his son was [sign in to see URL] your "Forum's" perspective,If you read our postings carefully these puerile and impotent views would be self-evident.
