'To return the thread to sanity'!
You might start by talking in language others can comprehend.
You have the cheek to accuse others of seeing 1066 from a 21st century perspective but then you go on about these people in terminology that Shining Path/Khmer Rouge/Joe Stalin would use.
You cannot have it both ways.

Athelstan:

I don't know whether STalin, the Khmer Rouge, or Shining Path would use this sort of language. I do know that such people talk in a kind of "ingroup" code which confuses outsiders. But he/she/it/they sound more like somebody trying to imitate academic writing and not succeeding very well.

Hugo, my opinion is that the only date that has any strategic coherence is 1100 due to the fact that neither 1087 nor 1096 changed the course of The Norman Revolution at those historical turning [sign in to see URL] Adele at Saint Gervais Priory on or around the time of the Conqueror's death? or was she like Courtheuse at the court of The Frankish King? 1096 is external to Europe as well as The Norman Revolution despite affecting it by curtailing events in Northern Europe. Sorry, guys, but it'syour group that sounds like it's imitating bad "academic" writing. And believe me, I've read quite a bit of that particular "genre".

Housecarl:

There is no point in hurling insults at these people. They seem to have skins of the texture and consistency of rhinoceros hide.
